In 2000 Oleksii Shchurov graduated Dnipropetrovsk State University’s Master Degree Programme in specialty ‘Language and Literature (Russian)’ and obtained Master’s diploma with honour.

In 2003 he graduated post-graduate programme in the area of Comparative Literature Criticism.

 

Areas of research interests:

 

- literary translation – theory and practice;

- general scientific and technical translation;

- advanced computer technologies in translation and terminology management.

 

Disciplines delivered:

 

- Practice of Translation in the First Foreign Language (English);

- Translation in the Field of Computer Technology;

- Fundumentals of Informatics and Applied Linguistics;

- PC Practical Training.

 

During the quarantine he uses interactive technologies, i.e Microsoft Teams, in order to deliver classes and lectures in video conference mode.

 

Coordinates international students’ conference Eurolanguages: innovations and Development, compiles collections of students’ abstracts.
